Certified Tutor

I am a DC native and graduated from Sidwell Friends School in 2007. I then went on to the University of Miami where I obtained a BA in Psychology in 2011. I tutored elementary school students when I was still in high school and tutored college students at the Academic Resource Center at Miami. After graduating from Miami, I volunteered at a special needs school in India. I moved to Colombia in 2013 to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to adults. In 2015, I moved to China where I worked in an international kindergarten teaching ESL. I am currently studying to take the GRE and I plan to get a Masters in Education. My favorite subjects to tutor are Spanish, ESL, and Reading. My teaching philosophy is to get to know my students and understand the ways in which he/she learns best in order to reach their full potential (and to have fun while doing it!) In my free time I love to travel, read, cook, hike, do yoga, and play soccer.
