I am a recent Ph. D graduate from Iowa State. While at Iowa State, I was a teaching assistant for the class "Genetics, Biotechnology, and Agriculture" for a year. As a plant breeding major, in addition to extensive classes in genetics, I have experience in studying plant physiology, and gained experience in statistics both from classes and from analysis required in publishing journal manuscripts and my dissertation. The main statistics program I worked with is SAS.

Memorization is not always the same thing as learning. Whenever possible, I try to present lessons via case studies and other forms of critical thinking. When you are able to explain how concepts fit together and why certain answers are correct, then I know you understand the material.
