I am currently a first-year graduate student at Seton Hill University focusing on Art Therapy. I conduct research, work with children and in my free time, create art.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Teach to the individual!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Introduce myself and get acquainted with the student.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Give them assignments to practice on their own.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Mainly rewards, games, and movement.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Try to find other ways to guide them through the concept.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Rhythm reading, as well as relating the information relayed from the text to their everyday lives.
