My teaching philosophy is listen well, understand, and follow through.

What I will do in a typical first session with a student is ask him/her 'what's their best way of learning.'

I will help a student stay motivated by making learning fun, as I am very energetic and happy.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
If a student has a difficulty learning a skill or concept, I will use three teaching methods: watch YouTube videos, write it down, and use books as reference.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
The way I'd help a student who is struggling with reading comprehension is to read to the students and go over the material multiple times.

The strategies I find to be most successful when I start to work with a student is to ask the students, listen, and teach.

I'd help a student get excited/engaged by sharing a story of how I was made fun of when I started playing basketball.

The techniques I'd use to be sure that a student understands the material is by listening and getting what the student is struggling with, and then confirm; after that, I'll talk about what I know about the material.

The way I would evaluate a student's needs is to focus on the subject the student needs help with, and then review it repeatedly before teaching it.

I'll adapt my tutoring to the student's needs by adjusting the way I teach; some students may like standardizing test-taking strategy, and others may like visual.

A notebook, laptop, pencil; calculator, and a dictionary.

I can help a student become an independent learner by teaching them ways of how they can do homework on their own; ways they can teach themselves on the Internet or in the textbook.
