I am a graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Psychology. I am currently working as a medical scribe upon matriculation into medical school. I worked as a tutor for Kumon Learning Center while in high school and continued to tutor during college.
My favorite students to work with are elementary and middle school students, but I am able to help with high school students as well. I have the most experience in tutoring reading, math and science-related subjects.
My teaching style embodies two main qualities, the development of productive habits and exposure to a wide variety of study methods. I believe in consistent encouragement and repetition in order to achieve one's desired academic success.
In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball with my friends, going running and working out at least 4 times a week.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is centered on a strong support network and utilization of educational tools in order to bolster a student's academic success. I believe that having a stable family that provides encouragement at every level will allow students to reach their full potential. As a tutor, I will gather all possible resources that employ multiple methods in order to find out what the best way a student learns.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During my first session with a student, I like to get to know them and see how they work. I believe it is important for me to understand how the mind of my student works in order to best help them.
