What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
During the first session, I meet with students to assess their needs and goals. This includes a discussion of student strengths and weaknesses, and an evaluation of a student writing sample. Next, we begin on the student's first priority area. This may be a particular assignment, skill set, or course material.
