I've always loved helping people, even my friends when we were in the same classes. It brings me a lot of satisfaction when I help a student feel more confident in what they are learning. It is so rewarding when I am able to relieve the stigma of certain subjects, especially math, in order for a student to perform well. I hope my work with different students is able to promote the importance of education!

What is your teaching philosophy?
I want to make sure my students truly understand the concepts behind what they are studying. This way, not only will they perform better, but they will understand the importance of and appreciate what they're learning.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Typically, I will figure out how the student learns most effectively, so I can adjust my teaching style to cater to them.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Students become independent learners not from being told exactly what to do, but how to do it. Instead of spoon-feeding my students, I make sure they become familiar with different thought processes and critical thinking, that will be beneficial for learning in general.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
I would help a student stay motivated by showing them how much they've grown through short-term and long-term goals!
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would evaluate what specifically is the problem, and adjust my teaching style to tackle the difficulty in a different way.
