The German language is a language that is not commonly used in the U.S.A. however, it is good language to have on you when traveling to German speaking nations. The reason for this, is because the more effort you put towards the language and the people who speak it, the better your trip there will be. You like it when people know how to speak English? Now wouldn't it be wonderful if you could speak German?!
German is set-up just like English, except the main verb goes at the end. So, there isn't much trouble there. However, the words are very long and complex. I remember being in my first German class and we learned the longest German word, and I thought to myself, why would I want to learn this language? Nonetheless, I stuck with it, and am glad I did, because when I figured out how their words worked I fell in love with the language!
Now, I know that you are looking for the right person to teach you the German language... I have a ton of background in languages. I have taken Spanish, French, Russian, Swedish, Old English and Middle English before, along with German. I try to speak each of them or read some sort of material within them every month. However, I have chosen German to be my main Tutoring language because of living in Germany, where I picked up the do's and don'ts of the language.
I hope that you will choose me, as your tutor. Thanks for checking me out and have a wonderful day. Take care.

What is your teaching philosophy?
People need to be taught... They learned how to walk, speak, and ride a bike. Thus learning is nonetheless important, and by being a teacher, it is important that I do the same, in order, to make sure that my students learn just as much as possible! That is what I find to be my teaching philosophy.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
It would be wonderful to just start out with a student... However, this is not the situation. Each student is different, and each is at a different level. Thus, after introducing ourselves, I would ask a few questions about the topic we are about to get into. Thus, I know where to start from. This is the best way that I can think of for the first session with a student.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
You need to let them go, however, there is a point; when? I believe that a student is perfectly fine holding on to their self-identity, yet at the same time, they have to learn. I, myself, believe that I have to let them learn, and then figure things out on their own. Let them do the work for themselves, when taught how to. This is the best way I can think of to let the student become independent. Teach, Learn, and Let Go...
