It was when I focused on my study and organizational skills, that I saw a steady improvement in my grades. With every improvement, I gained improved confidence and self -esteem. I know how to uplift and inspire students, while allowing them to strengthen their weak areas.

What is your teaching philosophy?
Work with students and meet them at their point of need.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Ask questions. Look at previous scores, discuss goals with students and start teaching that particular subject.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Give access to materials from which they can learn. The Internet and the library are amazing resources.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Motivation is mostly internal. However, acquisition of a new skill or knowledge is the greatest investment one can do. I will simply try to illustrate that fact.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Break it down to normal terms and draw analogies in which the student can understand.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Technology is a great asset. Learning can come from many different avenues. Reading comprehension is most often attributed to not understanding the subject in question. Most people don't have difficulties comprehending literature concerning subjects they are truly motivated or have been well versed in. With that being said, visual aids, videos, and putting that which is learned in practice will eventually augment reading comprehension in that particular field.
