I enjoy working with everybody. I have ELL teaching experience. I can help with essay writing, research help, citation, and essay reviews.
I can also tutor for elementary math. I give importance to your needs and follow an interactive approach. I have about two years of experience as a tutor at my university's writing center. I like to understand the students' needs and interests. It will allow the student to have their say and stay interested in the session.

I majored in International Studies and have a minor in Economics. I am currently in a transition year after college and hope to get into a Master's program in Economics or Public Policy. What is your teaching philosophy?

I hope that my tutees work hard but at their own pace. I like to make it a comfortable learning environment.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would make it not too rigorous. I would give some basic introduction about my teaching style and stay friendly. I would try to understand the student's learning needs and expectations from the session.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I would help establish a learning habit.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

I would give advice if students are going through any academic issues. I would give examples from my experiences if they are comparable.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

I would try to explain it following the student's learning style and level of understanding.

How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?

I would help by suggesting to review vocabulary. I would also help them practice reading regularly.

I think its really important to understand the skill and knowledge level of the student. So, I try to do that first.

I could try relating the subject matter with something that really interests them.

I can help understand the basics of the material first. I would also test their understanding and find ways to help learn better based on the test performance.

I would give a lot of practice questions, and I would work on them with the student. It cannot be done in a single session, but small steps help.

I ask the student questions.

Once I understand the needs, I help accordingly.
