Certified Tutor

I graduated UC Santa Barbara in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. After graduation I started working as a medical scribe at a pediatrics office and currently I am applying to medical school. With my background in the sciences I look forward to tutoring students in a broad range of sciences as well as math. While at UCSB, I volunteered in a first grade classroom and assisted students one-on-one. I also volunteered with SciTrek, a program that allowed students to create their own science experiment. Throughout my schooling I have enjoyed working with peers in group setting and unofficially tutoring my younger sibling and cousins. I recognize the importance of individualized learning and will bring that into each tutoring session. As a tutor, I will build upon students foundation of knowledge to build from the ground up and allow full understanding of more complex topics. I have had many teachers contributed to myself falling in love with learning, with these experiences I hope to give pieces of that back to the next generation of scholars. Away from academics I love traveling, I have been to nine countries and this past summer explored the Pacific Northwest on a road trip and my first trip to Yosemite in October. I also enjoy remaining active and being outdoors through running, hiking, skiing and snowboarding.
