I am a very dynamic diverse positive teacher. I master 4 languages: Arabic, French, Berber, and English. I accumulated 14 years experience of diverse work related education. I taught languages and traveled to many countries. Those facts helped me succeed communication with people around 4 continents I have visited. My experience working in varied environments has enabled me to develop a range of practical skills. I am able to manage challenging behavior effectively, conduct activities safely and communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Further, I am very creative and enjoy sourcing materials that make learning interesting. Most importantly, my ability to work well with others, motivate and inspire is a very significant contribution that I am confident I can bring to the course and into the teaching session.

What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is the result of my experience as a teacher for 14 years, teaching Arabic and French languages in both Africa and Europe. In fact, with my father being teacher, school always felt like a second home to me. As a student, I have experienced great teachers, some terrible ones, as well as a lot in between. In my experience, excellent teachers have to be passionate about their subject and striving to instill this same passion in their students. They have to establish a positive class atmosphere by investing time in building a rapport with their students and encouraging active class participation. Moreover, teachers should not just expect respect from the students, but should treat them with the same kind of respect. They should show that they care about the students and are interested in their learning. My pedagogy will be student-centered and we will enjoy the acquisition of knowledge, because I do believe that learning is what constructs great individuals, and is not only just a way to achieve temporary success or a job.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
An introduction session is a good opportunity to make the students feel comfortable and break the ice to facilitate learning. During the first session, I will also plan to teach the students to find efficient ways to simplify learning, and to make assessments to find what's lacking and what to focus on.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
By explaining the subjects, creating activities to put the theoretical knowledge into practice and pushing the students to solve the exercises, you can make them independent learners.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Variation and fun activities, plus positive encouragement, makes all students motivated.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
When we try different ways to approach the same concept from different angles. When we encourage the students to think critically, concepts and skills become clear, because the students realize them by themselves.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Help them to understand the keywords of every sentence in every paragraph. Help them find the key terms in every question mentioned in the text. Help them find the right answer in the text from the common key terms between text and question.
What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?
Student-centered pedagogy and a variation of learning techniques to find the most efficient one.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
Simplify the problem. Control it. Detail it. Analyze it. Explain it. Make practice to master it.
What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?
Ask diverse questions that require deep understanding of the material.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Use words that increase student's self esteem and self confidence. Make learning easier, manageable, and doable.

Assessments helps you evaluate a student’s needs.
How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?
Assessment helps you place the student at a certain level to detect the student needs and focus on them.

Cards Games Drills
