Empowering children to comprehend the foundational understanding and skills that they will apply for the remainder of their lives is a delightful reward. Valuable education is, in my belief, the most important thing we can convey to the adolescent generation. I am very motivated to train young thinkers to learn more about the academic world by introducing them to Mathematics. Equivalently important is to communicate life skills, including treating others with reverence, working in groups, and learning how to become a leader. I was first inspired to pursue tutoring while in high school. My history teacher approached me with an opportunity to both tutor and mentor a young male student. From this experience, I realized the power we possess as tutors. I worked with this student for the remainder of my high school years, watching him grow into a young adult.
Since this experience, I have volunteered at The Boys and Girls Club while attending college. This has given me more experience with group tutoring and working with older teens in high school. This permitted me to understand the importance of how every student is unique in the method they comprehend material. To encourage pupils in their learning I have devised some games and tactics to encourage better command of information.
I feel that my advanced degree would be relevant; not only is it an academically tough subject, but it enabled me to develop many transferable skills, including the ability to interpret and explain complex information, undertake research and mathematic evaluation, and develop confident written and oral communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
My outside interests include music, reading, and sports. Friends and family tell me I am compassionate, thoughtful and dynamic. As an introspective and fervent individual, I am devoted to enabling young minds to develop and achieve their desired goals.
