Certified Tutor

I began tutoring as a senior in high school with a fifth-grade student at a local elementary school. After loving the experience, I continued spending my time mentoring in college through a program called Reading Friends. After graduating college, I joined Teach for America and began teaching at a middle school in Nashville. Last year I taught Social Studies, and this year I moved into teaching literacy. I will continue in this position next year as well.

Not only do I have extensive experience tutoring and mentoring, but I also have experience that is varied. I have worked with different age groups under various settings, such as a more academic one in my own classroom and others that were more for guidance as with my college and high school experiences.
