Certified Tutor

I graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I received my Master of Science in Forestry with a focus on wildlife genetics from the University of Kentucky. Since graduating, I have worked primarily in the field of wildlife conservation and research. I am extremely passionate about science; my favorite subjects are Biology, Zoology, Ecology, and Environmental Science. Early in my academic career I was very fortunate to be taught Biology through the Socratic Method. This style of teaching challenges a student's fundamental understanding of subject material through strategic inquiry and debate. This method is well suited for teaching science and builds critical thinking skills that can be applied to all aspects of a student's life. The critical thinking skills I acquired are still with me today, and they have become second nature and allow me to enter into any challenge (academic, professional, or personal) with confidence. In my free time I enjoy all types of outdoor activities as well as travel, photography, art, reading, and deck hockey.
