Certified Tutor

I am currently a second-year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I am working toward my Bachelor of Arts as a double major in Feminist Studies and Theater with an emphasis in playwriting. I have been tutoring for seven years, with students ranging in age from the elementary school level to the high school level. I tutor in a wide range of subjects, but I am most passionate about tutoring students in the written word, whether through literature, writing, or foreign language. I would describe my tutoring style as step-by-step; I like to break down subjects in ways that are easy for students to understand, and adapt materials to various learning styles on a student-by-student basis. When I am not tutoring, I spend most of my time as a stage manager for my university's Theater and Dance department, but I like to dedicate my free time to reading, creative writing, and spending time at the beach.
