I'm a UCLA graduate with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in English. Ostensibly those two make for a strange combination but for me they are two sides of the same coin: both ways of analyzing, understand, and shaping the world. This ability to incorporate elements from different fields makes me adept at presenting concepts in novel ways to students who struggle with traditional methods. I've tutored for a combined 6 years between high school and college and have worked with students in groups from 1 to 50. I'm proficient in writing, science, and math at nearly any level, and specialize in working with high school students but am happy to assist middle school students as well. Whether your student needs major help in raising their grades or is just looking to take the next step from "good" to "great," I want to be a part of their journey and their success. I want to empower students to develop the skills to learn on their own at any level; students should master the material itself, but also develop the study skills necessary to succeed. I enjoy developing a rapport with students and building the kind of trust with them that encourages them to open up and get to the heart of their struggles. My relative youth means I can assure students that I understand their struggles and also their excuses. Outside of school, I'm an avid poet, an athlete, a martial artist, and a long time video gamer. I deeply encourage students to prioritize their goals and balance their life in a way to make those goals realistic. I can't wait to meet you and your student and get started working towards success!
