Certified Tutor

I am a native Spanish speaker and began learning English as a second language after graduating from college in Mexico City. I completed a full English course from Basic through TOEFL exam training. Then, I started an intensive course of Italian at Mexico Citys Istituto Italiano di Cultura, where I was a scholarship recipient. Gaining fluency in these two languages as an adult helped me to learn highly efficient language training methods that I have used in turn with private students in English, Spanish, and translation work. In New York, I also began studying French and German, including courses at the Alliance Franaise and the Deutsches Haus, at New York University. In 2008, I earned a Master's Degree in Music from Brooklyn College, City University of New York.

As a Music major, I find the music learning process extremely useful for languages and I would apply many of the methods musicians use into the improvement and refinement of languages when tutoring.
