Certified Tutor

I am a highly experienced tutor who has worked with a wide variety of students of all ages, backgrounds and ethnicities. Over the past 15 years, I have worked with the NO Child Left Behind Program in NYC schools, tutored regents, test Prep, homework and many academic subjects for middle school, high school and college. I am an MBA graduate of Pace University in NYC and have a CPA license as well as post MBA education. Over the past twenty years, I have held senior financial management positions in major NYC based companies and currently serve as Comptroller for a large organization. While comfortable teaching English and Math test prep and Regents prep for a wide range of exams, over the past year, I have worked quite a lot with ISEE, SHSAT, SSAT and Algebra students. From the first diagnostic that I give to my students, I quickly develop a strategy to work with them on to improve their performance, test taking ability and understanding of their weakest areas.
I am also a certified personal trainer and believe strongly in the adage "A sound mind in a sound body." Culturally, I appreciate music, art, theater, film, dance, museums, reading, lectures and travel. I am incredibly proud that my twin daughters graduated from Ivy League institutions and are independent young women.
