Hello, my name is Amanda and I am dedicated to sharing my passion for language. I graduated from Boston University where I majored in Spanish Literature, and then went on to teach English as a Second Language for several years in both Massachusetts and Spain. I am now pursuing a Master's Degree in Foreign Language Education at the University of Massachusetts at Boston. I love studying language from a variety of perspectives, whether I am analyzing a grammatical structure, breaking down the root of a vocabulary word, or enjoying the beauty within a literary classic. My genuine enjoyment for Spanish and English Literature have made studying these subjects a pleasure, enabling me to build up an extensive understanding of the many concepts involved. In addition to my love for the subject, my students often remark that my patience, friendly personality and stress-free nature create a pleasant atmosphere in which they can understand even the most complex of linguistic or literary concepts. I often incorporate my passion for music into the learning environment, and students quickly learn that I love singing, dancing and talking about food!
