Certified Tutor

After weathering 21 bitter Northeastern winters, I moved to Los Angeles, where I have now lived for nearly 3 years. I gradated from NYU in 2010 with a BA in Romance Languages (with concentrations in French, Spanish, and Portuguese) and a minor in Creative Writing. I've been lucky enough to hone my writing chops with such incredible writers as Jennifer Egan, Lou Mathews, Fiona Maazel, and Matthew Rohrer. I also lived in Paris for 1.5 years, granting me the opportunity to master French in one of the greatest cities in the world.

I come from a family of teachers, so the desire to help others learn runs in my blood. I feel that it's most important to connect with students on a personal level so that they trust and respect me enough to engage in the subject I'm tutoring. I have no one method because each student's needs and solutions are unique.

I've tutored students of all ages, from homework help for 3rd graders to ESL for adults. I particularly love tutoring students in French, Spanish, and Literary Arts, since those are my personal passions. In my free time, I like to take advantage of the LA sunshine and sit in my courtyard, enjoying a cup of tea and sinking into a good book.
