Certified Tutor

I became interested in math in high school and decided to major in it when I went to college. During that time, I also developed an interest in playing music. For my senior work, I combined these two passions by applying mathematical concepts, particularly in Geometry and Topology, to music theory. I am fascinated by the many ways we can and do apply math in our lives, whether in day to day activities or to enrich our understandings of related fields. Furthermore, I believe the process of learning math for its own sake is overall beneficial for the mind. For these reasons, I believe it is highly valuable for people to understand math.

I have been tutoring math since high school, and I have also worked as a teaching assistant for a high school math faculty, where I further developed my teaching methods. In my time as a tutor, I've learned the importance of a calm, balanced approach. I am very patient; I will move at a pace that fits the student's needs, while still challenging the student to learn more and feel confident with the material. I look forward to working with you!
