Today we finished chapter 11, there wasn't a lot to go over but we spent a good deal of time on some crystal lattice problems since they were a bit mathematically rigorous. After a couple of tries the student was able to solve them with relative ease. the rest of the chapter was basically memorization stuff and it didn't need much attention from me and the student seemed to agree.

I assisted the student with completing the problems on two sides of a worksheet (7-1 and 7-3), covering circumference and area of circles as well as finding the area of irregular shapes composed of different geometric shapes. We worked on how to translate geometry word problems into a drawing before solving and reviewed multiplication with decimals and rounding.

I started this session by working with the student to help him prepare for a test. We reviewed "ir" verbs that are stem-changers in the preterite tense and we reviewed direct object pronouns and indirect object pronouns. By the end, he seemed well-prepared for his upcoming exam. I next worked with him on vocabulary and phrases relating to directions and distance. The student picked up on distance indicators and other vocabulary words very quickly.

Today we revised and edited the second section of the case study paper, including an introduction and conclusion, and completing the set up for APA format. In addition we worked on completion of this week's discussion question.

The student and I finished her chemistry project, finding 10 household products and writing a brief description of an active chemical in each. She said that she felt very confident during her last math test.

The students worked on +/-/x fractions with numbers and variables, distributive law, perfect squares(cubes, 4ths, & 5ths), complicated exponential simplifications, powers of "2" up to 10, radicals, slope-intercept form of linear equations and graphing.
