Today we did more vocabulary, did a practice reading set and worked on math. The student did really well on the reading set, only missing one question. Had a lot of trouble with math because all the concepts are new to him.

Today, the student and I covered some basic concepts with Triangles, Circles and Parallelograms. We covered perimeter, area, 45-90-90, 30-60-90 triangles and their properties. When back from break, we will keep covering concepts that she may have missed in the transfer process. It has been a pleasure, helping.

I wanted her to practice the student's writing skills, so she did a restaurant review. I wanted her to focus on a few things: creativity, strong word choice and imagery. I look forward to what's coming up.

The student and I met from 3-5pm. Despite the storm and power outage we were still able to complete the concepts necessary for succeeding in the completion of the weekly assignment. We worked more on understanding affects of genetic mutations and we worked a bit more on applications of Chi-square. This session brought us completely up-to-speed until week 27. We will next work to ensure her continued progress and her submission of midterm corrections.

General Chemistry
I introduced myself to the student and his parents, and went over current performance, expectations, etc. The student and I then reviewed material and did some practice questions on the topic of thermodynamics.
