The student and I worked through her bi-weekly set of AP free response questions. She has pretty much covered all the material that will be tested on the AP test, and she remembers most of the older concepts. The free response questions are good practice for reviewing.

Concepts we covered surrounded solving literal equations. The student struggled with the process of solving literal equations, but after showing her the steps and why we do it she understood. We worked on an array of problems and by the end of the session she was proficient!

In this session, we covered concepts of graphing (shifting horizontally and vertically). We also covered basic properties of logarithms and simplification of expression involving exponents.

Today we covered a lot of the intro PreCalc material. The student is struggling a bit with the notation and application of some of the equations. Most of the session was geared towards understanding function notation and graphical application. I look forward to working with her through the rest of her class.

We worked on reviewing the concepts we worked on last session. These concepts were geometry and solving equations with one variable. More specifically, we covered finding the radius and the volume of a sphere. We also worked on solving equations with fractions in them.

The student has a test on Friday and a lengthy homework assignment due. He did about half of the homework problems, and reviewed some of the things he had done in the past 2 weeks. I expect that the test be comfortable for him, though some questions on inequalities might pose a challenge.
