The Tricks To Making Magic
Justin Willman
Magician, Entertainer, A Netflix Original
About Justin Willman
Justin Willman wants to melt your brain while making you laugh. He’s best known as the star and creator of the hit Netflix series Magic For Humans. But you may recognize him from one of his many television appearances (The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Ellen, Conan…). Or maybe you know his work as a host (Cupcake Wars; Halloween Wars; Win, Lose or Draw…). Or maybe he’s the child magician you hired in suburban St. Louis in the ‘90s. If you don’t know Justin, he’s a magician and comedian who’s mastered the art of turning cynics into believers (or at least getting them to laugh). His live show is simultaneously mind-blowing and hilarious, and will likely keep you up at night wondering how the heck any of it was possible...unless you take his class, in which case you’ll know how at least some of it happened. Justin is also a proud father, a loving husband, and has zero experience as a licensed boat mechanic (that’s a different Justin Willman).
About the class
Here’s a secret about magic: magic itself is magical, but making magic is a skill you practice over time, not an ability granted by an abracadabra. So if you’re interested in making magic, grab some household items and join TV’s favorite magician, Justin Willman, to learn and practice how mere humans can make magic. You’ll see, analyze, and recreate some of Justin’s tricks; learn how magicians create illusions to fool the human eye and mind; and marvel at some tricks that will make you unable to believe your eyes...yet.
But wait...there’s more! Want to make magic right along with Justin? Have any or all of these household items handy during class and you’ll get to practice making homemade magic. You’ll learn several tricks each with a different small group of these items, so bring the ones you have and don’t worry about the ones you don’t.
