French Tutoring review by Seyed in Virginia
The student and I met for the last session from 6:55-8:30. We worked on the remainder of the review packet including redox reactions, solubility constant, enthalpy, molarity, molality, acid-base neutralization, geometric representation of molecules and acids and bases in general. I believe he is prepared for his final.

French Tutoring review by Ming in Virginia
Reviewed the modern atomic model including the Bohr model of Hydrogen and the wave-mechanical model of all atoms. First went over the concept of particle-wave duality nature of light, including definitions of wavelength, frequency, and their relationship to light. Then went over the concept of quantum energy levels relating to atomic orbitals and sub-orbitals. Discussed in detail regarding electronic configurations, valence electrons, and how to figure this out and relate to each element. Lastly, discussed trends in the periodic table and how the trends were related to atomic size, electronic configuration, and elemental properties.

The student and I went over the rest of her SAT Practice Test #1 (including essay) and also started going over her SAT Practice Test #2. We did not finish going over her Practice Test 2, but we will pick up where we left off during our next session. I asked the student to take Practice Test #3 before our next session, and to do the exercises in the study guide regarding the Essay portion before she takes her test on Saturday.

French Tutoring review by Angela in Virginia
We reviewed the problems the student got wrong in the reading comprehension and mathematics achievement sections of her last practice test. In the math section, we focused on how to tackle complex word problems that require the tester to come up with more than one equation for solving them. We also reviewed when it's necessary to return to the passage in the reading comprehension section, and how to avoid being tricked by seemingly "easy" questions. Finally, we reviewed the students last essay, and ways to strengthen her conclusion, and elaborate further on her topic to be able to write a longer essay.

French Tutoring review by Lauren in Virginia
This session occurred on 4/17. So far, this has been our most productive session. The student had completed 1.5 sections of ACT homework (2 sections and a writing section had been assigned) - the English and the math sections. We went over some grammar, sentence structure, and other English strategies, and corrected any gaps in math knowledge. Additionally, the student completed a timed essay during the session and we worked on his writing skills.

French Tutoring review by Jessica in Virginia
During this session, the student told me about an unexpected grammar test that his class took over the past two days and what he struggled the most with on it. We discussed his final, which is next week, and our plan to keep his current A in place. He will be letting me know what will be on his final as soon as he knows, so that I can create exercises for him and help him prepare as well as possible.
