I received my MS in math from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and my BS in math from Augusta University. I was pursuing a PhD in math at UTK so I have 5 years of teaching experience on top of 4 years of tutoring experience in undergrad. I love helping students one-on-one and that's why I tutored middle and high schoolers privately while also working at the math lab at AU tutoring adults. I tutor any math class from middle school to undergraduate, and I also excel with test prep (SAT, GRE, etc.). My approach to tutoring is helping students understand not only how you complete a problem but why we complete the problem that way; I also try to instill academic confidence in my students.

Teaching physics presents unique challenges. I think that one important element in teaching any class is a positive attitude with energy and creativity to engage students in the effort of creative a pleasant environment. I have always tried to present real-world and hands-on practice to solidify the fact that what is being learned is essential in the intellectual maturity. I like to engage groups discussion to allow students to share their experience and teamwork is always important in a society where we always trying to help someone. I show and encourage my students to write concise and accurate description of their work. This part of the course training is to prepare my students for graduate schools and for their future careers goals achievements. I like to walk in the class especially when I give assignments to my students to see how much they understand of the instructions given. Of further great importance are homework problems, quizzes and exams, which allow me to gauge both how well a student can individually explore problems and how effective my lessons are at teaching the necessary methods and techniques. These formal assessments allow me to improve as a teacher from year to year.The most gratifying part of teaching is perceiving that I am contributing to generate a more scientifically literate society, where my students have the abilities required to make educated decisions, assess opinions and proposals based on facts and logic, measure the importance and significance of statistics presented in popular science articles and the press, and approach their lives with an inquisitive nature.

I am a 2nd year Doctor of Pharmacy student at Midwestern University. I am originally from California, but live in Arizona because I am attending school. I have accumulated about 5 years worth of tutoring experience from private tutoring, classroom teaching, and after-school programs where I used to work. My favorite subjects are math/science and I have tutored algebra 1, geometry, algebra 2, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and SAT math in the past. My goal for my students is for them to understand and appreciate the material so that they will be interested and want to learn on their own. I teach my students what it takes to succeed and give them confidence in their own abilities to achieve these goals. I live a very busy life with lots of things to manage, so you may wonder why I spend time tutoring. I am hardworking and constantly learning to be better than I was yesterday. Although currently in college, I would see that as an opportunity to improve. A teacher is only as good as their student. Many of the best teachers never stop learning and improving. I know I can do a great job tutoring students. I have the determination and dedication. Hello, I work as an Analyst for a top financial firm, in the Phoenix area. Funny as it may seem I put to use a lot of math I learned in academics to work. I started tutoring Math/Science when I was in college. Eventually started teaching undergraduate students when I was in Grad school. I found that I enjoyed breaking complex problems into simple parts and helping students understand and enjoy learning. With multiple degrees based on Mathematics and Science and more than 5 years of experience teaching middle school to undergraduate students I am sure I can help students of any ability.Having scored a 99 percentile in my GRE (Graduate Record Examination), I know what is required to do well in a standardized test from a students perspective. Having been there pretty recently I am good at pacing and organizing SAT/GRE preparations.In my free time I love to work out, play ping pong or solve rubiks cubes (competitively).

I currently work as an academic researcher, mentor, and teacher. I have taught multiple college level biology and science courses. Since a young age, helping people has been a passion of mine. What began as helping my brothers and friends in math, has turned into a strong desire to teach and educate persons of all ages and backgrounds.Since then, I have helped students of all ages in many subjects: German, Italian & primarily Math.I have been a tennis coach for 7 years at the Western Tennis Club in Glasgow, mostly working with younger kids.I have always had a thing for numbers and equations but my multi-cultured background has enabled me to master several languages as well.

I'm currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Business Analytics at Carnegie Mellon University. I've been tutoring since I started high school, focusing on mathematics and writing. Throughout my college career I was employed both privately and by Georgetown University to tutor peers and high school students in the Washington, D.C. area. I worked with students taking classes in all levels of mathematics falling under Algebra, Calculus, Combinatorics, and Problem Solving.I've always been passionate about mathematics. With a strong academic background in English and writing, I communicate abstract mathematical ideas in a way that is best suited to each of my students' needs. At some point in the (hopefully) near future, I'd like to go to back to school in order to then work full-time as a college professor of mathematics.Aside from academics, I'm passionate about music and soccer.
