I am currently a student at Texas A&M University, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Molecular & Cellular Neuroscience on a pre-pharmacy track. Growing up, I was always very passionate about both the natural sciences and humanities, and would love to ignite this same passion in my students. I tutor a broad range of subjects, and work to help struggling students feel confident in topics such as Reading, Writing, Mathematics, and SAT prep. My goal is for students to feel comfortable and understood in their learning environment as they tackle individual subjects and any future academic endeavors.

Ever since I was in Kindergarten, I have always been an aspiring teacher. I was inspired by my kindergarten teacher to be the best I could be. She pushed me everyday in her classes and installed within me a drive and a passion to help any child in need be able to be able to know that they can do anything they put their mind to.The older I got, though, the more my aspirations changed. I still wanted to help young people, but that idea expanded. I began to love the art of dance, so my dreams developed into creating dance groups, and ended where I am now, fitness cardio.I am a current Zumba Instructor. I have a license to teach Zumba, Aqua Zumba, Strong by Zumba, and Zumba Kids and Kids Jr. I am all about helping anyone to get where they'd like to be through fitness, and so much more.Even though I became a dancing guru, I still love the idea of helping others educationally. I am currently in college and will be obtaining my Early Childhood Education degree this December 2016. I long for the day that a young child will look at me and explain how I made a difference in their life, as my teacher did for me.

I learned Spanish in school and then worked in Mexico and Colombia where I became a more fluent speaker. I love being able to connect with Spanish-speaking groups in their native language and would like to help you do the same! As a second-language learner, I relate to your learning journey. I graduated from Methacton High School in 2020 and am currently a first-year Cognitive Studies major and Neuroscience minor at Vanderbilt University on the premed route. I tutor everything from AP exams and SAT standardized testing to basic Mandarin Chinese, but my favorite subjects by far are the humanities. As someone that has taught art and language classes to primary school children in the past, I absolutely love working with fellow creatives, and I will do my very best to enhance the skills you already have and bolster those you want to improve! I am a senior at Yale University majoring in Humanities. That means I get to study a wide variety of subjects: history, english, philosophy, art history, political philosophy, and more! I've worked as a coach on a rock climbing team for 3 years, so I have a lot of experience working with kids and teens of all ages. Through my volunteer work at an ancient art museum, I also gained experience designing classes and presentations for adults. My passion is writing, so I'm most excited to tutor English and help with college applications; having recently gone through the college application process myself, I am confident I can help craft stellar applications. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I love to rock climb and generally do anything outside. I love hiking, wakeboarding, and kayaking, and can talk about the outdoors for hours!

I'm also a playwright and work for a nonprofit arts center in downtown Hartford.I'm passionate about education, and I love the experience of one-on-one teaching. Helping students is the rent I pay to be a part of society, our global community, as corny as that may sound. Words/language are my media so I appreciate every opportunity I get to help others achieve their English-language goals: learning to read, becoming a better writer, learning English as a second language, etc.Currently, I'm an online ESL teacher with Education First. From 2010-2014, I was a youth services library aide in metro Atlanta, GA. My public library work included planning library events for kids such as preschool story time, Vacation Reading Program (a summer literacy initiative), and community outreach to schools and daycare centers.I have a BA in English from the University of Georgia and a 120-hour TESOL certificate through International Open Academy. I'm contemplating going for a Masters in Education but for now I've taken my experience to the internet to tutor in all manor of English-Language Arts subject matter including English literature, English as a Second Language (ESL), Writing, Literacy, etc.I'm a patient, laid back minimalist when it comes to my teaching style (not a ton of props or over-the-top edutainment). I am here to help you learn, flourish, and become more confident in your English studies.

With over two years experience tutoring in creative writing, reading, history, and test prep, I am focused on improving fundamental study skills through a practical, hands-on approach. This includes imbedding real-world applications into every lesson to inspire students and spark their latent curiosity. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard in 2018 and currently live in Los Angeles, CA.
