Greetings!!! My name is Ms. Adrianna. I have been tutoring a wide range of students from K- undergraduates in college for 7 years now. I am currently a certified teacher in Indianapolis, and pursuing a graduate degree. I love educating, it's my greatest passion and has been my ambition since grade school. In my tutoring sessions you can expect to use a variety of tools to facilitate learning. I love to give real life examples and hands on experiences so that students grasp concepts. I graduated Grinnell College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies and Gender, Women's, and Sexuality Studies with a focus on women's history. I am currently a student at University of Pennsylvania in an accelerated bachelors+ masters program in nursing. I have been passionate about tutoring others since I was in high school. I began tutoring in high school as a hebrew school tutor and I volunteered in my high school's writing lab to help edit essays. As a senior in college, I was selected to tutor underclassman in writing and history. I took a special class to better learn how to teach writing at a college level. Because I have experience studying humanities, social sciences, and sciences I am passionate about tutoring a wide variety of subjects. I believe the key to an effective tutoring session is adaptability and making sure to personalize my approach to each student's needs.

Writing has always appealed to me as one of the few ways to share who you really are with someone else. To be able to do this more accurately, to more precisely convey who you are is a goal I believe to be worth pursuing.

My goal is to help educate the bright minds of our future leaders. I attended college at the University of NC Charlotte and obtained a BSBA in Human Resource Management. I have been educating in the form of homeschooling my own children and tutoring others since 2009. I have taught all subjects across all grade levels, but my favorite is elementary subjects. I love that age because it is the foundation for all learning. What and how they learn in those formative years will impact their ability to absorb information in high school, college, in the work force and beyond.I teach based on each individual students learning style. We, as humans, are not all the same so we don't all learn the same. I've found that most students benefit most from a more hands on approach to learning so I try to incorporate that into lessons whenever I can.Outside of teaching, my favorite things to do are curling up with a good book or spending some time in the pool. I used to swim competitively in middle and high school and, even now, the pool is the best place for me to workout or relax and unwind. I look forward to working with you and your children.

I am currently a grad student at HBU and I taught Kindergarten last year. I am dedicated to learning, and my educational philosophy is that every child can/will succeed given the right tools and encouragement.I have a significant amount of experience in elementary education; particularly in: reading, reading comprehension, and phonics as well as upper level ELA (English Language Arts): essay-writing, proofreading, and editing. My teaching style is very interactive and hands-on, my most important goal is to meet your student's needs.My interests are running, teaching, cooking, traveling, volunteering, and being with family and friends. I believe that every day is a chance to grow and a chance for self-improvement, so let's begin!

I am a life-long learner and have worked with students of all ages over the past 40 years to facilitate their growth academically and achieve their personal goals.I create an environment for learning that is free from guilt or judgment - I believe that academic struggles of the past are not necessarily indicators of an inability to learn - rather they show us methods that did not bring the results that were desired.Everyone has the ability to learn, anything, given the right motivation, methods, and time.

I am a knowledgeable, passionate, and compassionate tutor. My teaching experience ranges from high school instruction, private tutoring, coaching, preaching, and leading high school youth groups. I have tutored and/or taught in algebra 1, geometry, American literature, world literature, middle school math, middle school science, middle school English/reading, American history, world history, essay composition, SAT prep, SSAT/ISEE prep, SHSAT prep, and GRE prep. I always try to discern what the individual needs and learning styles of my students are and then try to meet them where they are. I believe that there is a great student inside everyone, and it takes the right approach to make that great student manifest.

I am currently an undergraduate at Pennsylvania State University, and majoring in Psychology and Social Sciences. After I graduate I aspire to have a career in correctional psychology, where I can work with helping incarcerated individuals and their families with resources and rehabilitation.I have been tutoring Spanish, Algebra, and elementary school math since my freshman year of high school. I had the opportunity to work with K-12 students and Spanish speaking adults who are learning English to pass their citizenship. I believe that students learn better when they feel like they have a real relationship with their teachers. So, getting to know the student allows me to adapt my teaching methods based on their personality.Being a student who once needed a bilingual tutor, I know how valuable it is to have that skill. Having the opportunity to lift the pressure off of parents' shoulders to help their children is extremely rewarding, and is the reason why I tutor. I love giving back to my community and finding new ways to do so.

I have worked with many middle school and high school students to improve their writing so that they could succeed in high school and college. I have also counseled students on college admissions and edited hundreds of college application essays at the undergraduate and graduate levels (including for medical school). I have written books, professional articles, and podcast episodes over many years. For three years, my college admissions podcast (USACollegeChat) reached thousands of prospective college students and their parents. My specialties are improving grammar, punctuation, and capitalization; writing concise and engaging sentences; building perfect paragraphs; and putting together an essay that is meaningful and persuasive. I love to help others improve their writing and believe that there is no way to do that other than over-the-shoulder working together. Many of my students would tell you that they have never had a teacher/counselor who cared about them more than I did. I am most proud of that!
