I graduated from Washington University with a degree in Mathematics. I studied Math and related subjects (Electrical Engineering and Accounting) for five years and during that period I tutored a number of Math subjects and Physics.

When I learn something I strive to learn it deeply, and I teach the same way. I encourage my students to understand first principles and help them through derivations. A formula or algorithm may be forgotten in a matter of weeks if not used, but mathematical thinking stays with you for a lifetime. Those formulas can be re-derived and new topics approached with confidence. Many students come to me frustrated with Math and stressed about upcoming assignments but leave excited and confident!
