-20 minutes summarizing a book for English final -10 minutes diagramming sentences with participles and gerunds -60 minutes studying for history final -The student will study history for at least an hour tonight on his own.

We drew up outlines for each of the three potential topics for the analytical essay on the final exam. In addition to organizing a plan of attack for each, we also wrote a thesis sentence to be applied to each essay topic.

The student had prepared a written database of his study terms and I went over them with him. He seemed to have worked hard to study them to make sure he had them down, but I noted areas he was still weak on. All in all, I think the student will do well on his test tomorrow and I'm glad to have worked with him.

Reviewed Renaissance worksheet. Got 27 out of 36 questions completed. The student wrote answers as we discussed the material. I tried to keep track of where in the book the answers were and wrote the page numbers down on the questionnaire.

He needed to do a one page summary using his notes, a video and two articles. We went over the text book, added a video and I helped him write a rough draft of the topic. We also looked at his English assignment. He had to read a difficult short story and write a few meaningful sentences. He had not read it yet so I skimmed through it and showed him places of importance and how he might focus his topic.

Assisted client in understanding concepts of environmental stewardship and developments of new agricultural techniques (integrated patterns) and ethical questions in agriculture. Explained other concepts (slash and burn agriculture, crop rotation, pest density management, inorganic vs. organic pesticides). Also helped client with World History chapter study guide, reviewing the Ming and Qing civilizations, Japanese feudal system, the Tokugawa shogunate, Treaty of Kanagawa, the Meiji era, the rise and fall of the Ottoman Empire, and Suleiman the I.
