I have explored the intersection of technology, medicine, and public policy throughout my academic career. I am still attending the University of New Mexico to get a Bachelor of Science in Physics. My hopes are that I can get into a good graduate program for Physics or Astrophysics so that I can become a professor. I tutor Physics, Chemistry, Geometry, Algebra, and Calculus. My favorite subjects to tutor are Physics, and Geometry. Physics and geometry are my favorite subjects to tutor since I am very passionate about physics and believe it can be taught at every level of education. Why geometry is a favorite might have seemed weird at first, but Einstein himself believed geometry is a branch of physics not math. This is why physics is for all ages. I focus on improving the students understanding of the subject. Then I focus on teaching them what critical, creative, and/or logical thinking they need to apply to the subject. For example I will start by ensuring the student has a vivid understanding of how gravity and acceleration are related before teaching them how a pendulum works or how to solve for the path of a rocket. I believe that by knowing how to critically think for a subject allows you to apply what you have learned for life, this also makes studying for finals much easier in the future. Outside of school I enjoy listening to music, working with computers in general and learning other languages. I enjoy improving who I am by meditating, reading, and exercising every day.

After graduating from a United World College Southern Africa with a Bilingual International Baccalaureate Diploma. Before continuing to college, I took a gap year where I volunteered at HigherLife Foundation where I worked as a success mentor; in this position I focused on teaching high school students learning how to learn and how to succeed in exams. After this chapter I continued my college studies at Earlham College as a double major in Data Science and Global Management with a minor in mathematics. During my college years, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for Elementary Statistics where I taught statistics to all year groups. I also taught International Student Success where I focused on helping first year international students adjust to a second culture and succeed in their academic career. Since graduation, I have started a consulting job where I focus on improving the South Bend as a data practitioner. During my leisure time, I like to go for a bike ride in the forest and do wildlife photography.

I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at the University of Maryland in May 2023. I would like to use my degree in a field that involves education, children, and studying child cognition. I have over 3 years of tutoring experience, and math has always been a passion of mine. Thus, I prefer to tutor children in math, but I am qualified to tutor in subjects such as Spanish, science, and English. I find it very rewarding to help students learn and overcome struggles they have in school. Their smiles alone make the work worthwhile to me. My past experience tutoring students includes working with children between the ages of 6 and 16. While tutoring, I try my best to keep the student engaged by including physical and virtual math games, physical learning tools, and other learning instruments designed to make learning more engaging for students. My tutoring style is pretty hands-on, but I also try to sit back and allow the student to think more deeply about the content and absorb the knowledge on their own. Outside of academia, I love to draw, especially with graphite, but I do occasionally use charcoal, colored pencils, and pens. I also love to exercise at the gym, but I especially enjoy hot yoga and pilates classes. I was also a gymnast all throughout my childhood and adolescence, and I was a gymnastics instructor at my hometown gym in college.
