Tutoring review by Alishia in South Bound Brook, NJ
We worked on finding the area of rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, rhombuses, and polygons. The student did not struggle with anything on this topic. She was confident in her understanding of the curriculum. We made flash cards that identified the shape title on one side then the area formula on the other side. There was no extra practice. There was one new test score and she only missed one problem on the test.

Tutoring review by Kelsy in South Bound Brook, NJ
We went over 2 quizzes. The student appeared to be struggling with functions specifically pertaining to linear functions. After this writer assisted him in review, he appeared to have a better grasp on material and could work on problems on his own. He was able to do the math in his head and this writer encouraged him to show his work.

Tutoring review by Laila in South Bound Brook, NJ
The student has an exam tomorrow so we covered lots of logarithms and natural logarithm equations. There were some word problems that needed to be converted into logarithmic functions and once seeing what each variable represented, he did well converting them. He was very well focused and once seeing a problem done once, he was able to continue on his own. He had more practice problems to solve at home but I believe he will do great on the exam.

Tutoring review by Andrew in South Bound Brook, NJ
We covered simplifying radicals, factoring quadratics and other polynomials, and solving equations involving radicals. The student is very intelligent and only makes small mistakes. We talked about showing more work and doing less work in his head, in order to avoid making little mistakes. We talked about the week ahead, and we plan on meeting again next Monday, although normally we will be meeting twice a week. I asked that he find any past exams or graded homework assignments so that we may go over them in future sessions.

Tutoring review by Christina in South Bound Brook, NJ
In today's session, we went over graphing a system of equations, as well as solving them via substitution and elimination. The student did very well with learning how to solve system of equations through elimination despite me throwing in some "tricky" questions. I also made sure to let her know that one way to check her answer is to plug in the x and y into the equations to see if they remain true. Awesome job today!
