I'm drawn to those topics myself, they are the things I am most passionate about, and therefore the things I love to teach and the subjects in which I love to share what knowledge I have. I believe enthusiasm goes a long way, and that some of my best teachers have been the ones who loved their subjects the most.

I'm not spending hours reading Nietzsche, I'm doing improv comedy and graphic design. I'm currently pursuing a career in advertising/consulting, and in my spare time I eat mini tacos and watch Louis CK stand-up comedy.

I am about to begin graduate school as a PhD Student in Condensed Matter Physics. I am currently working at an experimental physics lab at the University of Maryland, College Park.

I am currently a graduate student at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. My teaching experience spans several years and age groups. As a high school student, I volunteered as a teaching assistant for a middle school science class. During college, I spent six months as a GED tutor, working with adults. Later, I spent two years as an Organic Chemistry Laboratory teaching assistant. I am a friendly and outgoing person, and I really enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge with others. I particularly like working with middle school and high school students, as I can challenge them and help them build strong foundations during some of their most important academic years!

I'm 23 years old. My tutoring experience began in high school when I tutored elementary, middle, and high school-aged students in math, Spanish, and language arts. I am an Ivy-league graduate (Princeton summa cum laude) and an editor for an academic publishing press. I have years of experience teaching and mentoring at the university level (University of Notre Dame), and I've also tutored students in chemistry, math, the arts, and humanities from elementary school through high school. I am a current sophomore at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. I plan on following up my undergraduate degree with graduate studies in Virology or Immunology. As a current student, I have had to spend countless hours perfecting my study habits and working through many difficult concepts on my own. This helps immensely when it comes to tutoring, as I have personal knowledge of some of the struggles students are facing. I tutor general biology at a college and high school level, and this includes AP Biology prep. I also tutor for standardized college entry exams, particularly the ACT. I enjoy biology simply because of the fascinating subject matter, but I especially enjoy test prep because it allows me to really explore the thought process that goes on behind analyzing and answering the test questions. I strive to help all of my students not only find the right answers, but to equip them to think critically and perform well on all tests and in their future studies. Outside of school, I enjoy watching basketball and cooking shows, and I have also started distance running, having completed my first marathon this past fall with more planned in the future.

Hi, really nice to meet you! I have 10 years experience teaching GRE. I taught GRE and GMAT as an Adjunct Professor at American University for 3 years, which enhanced my ability to create a standardized GRE itinerary for the classroom. I have taught GRE at Varsity Tutors for 5 years, in person and virtually to individual students, and I was rated in the top 10 percent of tutors by students. Prior to working at Varsity, I taught at Princeton Review for 2 years, teaching the GRE in a classroom setting. I received a score of 730 on my Verbal Section and a score of 770 on my Quantitative Section. I use the ETS GRE text, as the Educational Testing Service (ETS) creates and administers the exam, and I find it the most realistic indicator of how the questions will appear on test day. I hand out guides for the Quantitive section (with formulas and hints for the Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry and Data Analysis chapters) and the Verbal and Essay sections (with tips for learning vocabulary and guides for Sentence Equivalence, Reading Comprehension, and the Issue Essay). I received my BA in English Literature and U.S. History from Vanderbilt University in 2005, my MA in U.S. History from The George Washington University in 2010, and my MBA in Medical Policy Management from the University of Minnesota in 2024.
