I am a current student at the University of Chicago. I am working towards a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, and I am on the pre-medical track. I am extremely passionate about tutoring, and I have several years of experience tutoring students in my high school's learning center in various subjects as well as tutoring private clients in Standardized Test preparation. Given that I graduated high school recently, I have taken several Standardized Tests and high school subjects myself, so I have a comprehensive understanding of not only how to tutor these subjects and exams, but also what it is like to take them. While I have a wide range of interests and am able to tutor various subjects, I am most passionate about tutoring in Standardized Test preparation (including ACT, SAT, SAT Subject Tests, and AP Exams), Biology, Chemistry, Math, and Spanish. I truly believe that students should have the opportunity to learn in the way that works best for them, and I love being able to help them succeed by creating a comfortable tutoring environment in which we can best assess their particular needs and use strategies specific to them. My passion for learning drives everything that I do, and tutoring is the platform that I use to try to spread that passion to others. In my free time, you can find me playing badminton, listening to music, or baking something (hopefully) delicious.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Missouri - Columbia (MIZ!) with my Bachelor's in Bioengineering with a Biomedical emphasis. My background in Bioengineering not only provides expertise in Math and Biology concepts but also the skills to analyze any problem and work at the solution with diligence. I enjoy tutoring Math and Biology (Anatomy specifically) but also have a passion for helping students with English and Essay Writing. Throughout my undergraduate years, I made it my mission to tutor primary and secondary students in addition to my involvement in peer study group sessions. In my life journey, I have experienced all of the frustrations that accompany the pursuit of academic excellence. As a result, patience and understanding is at the foundation of my teaching philosophy. Overall, I seek to help students challenge themselves, become self-motivated and satisfy the thirst for knowledge that lives within all of us! Whenever there is free time, I enjoy reading, writing poetry, jewelry-making and dabbling in fashion design.

I have been teaching students of all ages in Albuquerque for many years with experience tutoring in small group and 1:1 settings. Math tutoring is a passion of mine because I love helping students in a topic that so many of them find problematic. My tutoring style is that of a coach; I work with students to become better learners. It is a thrilling experience to witness students overcome obstacles and take on challenges that previously intimidated them.I enjoy taking on challenges myself and have competed in endurance events for over 10 years including the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon and multiple GORUCK challenges. I recently became a high altitude balloonist and have conducted several experiments in the stratosphere including the first test of a UK developed GPS transmitter. I also recently started learning the violin.

I have graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science in Space Physics! I have been a chemistry laboratory teaching assistant for three years and four months. On top of that, since I have been exposed to higher level physics classes, I have assisted fellow colleagues with physics, chemistry, and math problems.I tutor for math, chemistry, and physics subjects. I have a couple of favorite subjects that I like to tutor. One of them is chemistry. I had the opportunity to be exposed to chemistry all throughout my undergraduate career, so I have grown an appreciation towards the subject and what it entails. The reason why I love it so much, is because we get to discover what happens on a molecular level just by looking at the chemical equations. Which ions attract to one another to form that precipitate or what molecule is that produced gas composed of? I also favor physics because we can explain the natural phenomena through equations. To make the mysterious less unknown, has a wonder in itself.Being able to help students recognize the wonder of learning and how things happen the way they do is one of the reasons why I love teaching. Everyone learns differently, so I try to assist a student first by getting to know how they like to learn, whether that is by taking notes, visually, or through word of mouth.I have been quite busy during my undergraduate career, so free time was limited. When I did have free time however, I enjoyed de-stressing myself through getting my body moving. I would play tennis, go for a run, go hiking, or work out. I was very keen on adventure so often times I would drive around my college town and have the pleasure of stumbling upon a road that would overlook all of Prescott. I appreciate the little things that life has to offer and any relaxing break from studying was welcomed.

While going to college I always had an interest in science and math. I enjoy imparting the Math and science knowledge to students who did not understand the subject as well as I did. I got a job as a tutor during my first year in college and have continued to tutor because I realized that I loved tutoring and I like to help people achieve their goals.Over the years while working in various capacities such as a network engineer, a process engineer and an environmental engineer I always tried to devote time to helping students. I tutored high school students, college students and adult learners. I feel a sense of accomplishment when my students do well in the subject area that we are working on together.
