I am an undergraduate of the Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. I have years of experience tutoring and teaching math and various sciences from an elementary to a college level. I primarily tutor college level courses such as physics and biochemistry, but also have extensive experience in social sciences, biology, and higher mathematics such as Calculus and Differential Equations. I believe that demonstrating the various real-world applications of a given concept is the best method to increase a student's understanding.

I'm an undergraduate at Rice University, majoring in Physics and Biochemistry, with a strong passion for research, classical music, and good teaching. I've loved math and science from a young age and am eager to share my knowledge with other students. I believe that everyone deserves to enjoy learning about our world and that everyone has their own preferred way to learn. That's why I hope to offer personalized tutoring that helps you learn not just the material but also how to better teach yourself.
I am a graduate of Rice University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, a Bachelors of Arts in Philosophy, and a minor in Neuroscience. My previous tutoring experiences have primarily focused on college level physics, math, and chemistry; AP Calculus, AP Physics, and AP Chemistry; the ACT and SAT college entrance exams; general mathematics at the high school level; and middle school level math and english for state standardized testing. Additionally, I have experience working with students with learning differences including dyslexia, ADHD, and ASD. As someone who loves learning, I am a firm believer in making our meetings enjoyable as well as educational. STEM subjects in particular have the reputation for being boring and complicated, but I love that as a tutor I can help students make sense of the topics and find the fun!
I am passionate about helping students, because the young generation is the future of our society. With the correct learn method and effective help, everybody can achieve the goal they set for themselves.
I'm currently a freshman at Rice University studying applied math. I've always had a love for sharing knowledge with others, and I started tutoring when I was a junior in high school. As a former AP student and a National AP Scholar, I have the experience necessary to guide my students through challenging curriculum. Though I specialize in tutoring mathematics and physics, I am experienced with and am happy to tutor a broad range of subjects.
I am a retired PhD chemical engineer with a desire to give back via tutoring. I focus on chemistry and physics. I like to explain complicated ideas one time, again in another way, and finish with practical examples.
I am currently a senior at Rice University. I am majoring in Economics and Biochemistry & Cell Biology. Since I am still a college student, I have taken most subjects recently so the concepts are still fresh in my mind. I really enjoy working with students and will customize my method of teaching to best cater you. I have previously tutored with Kumon Learning Center and am eager to tutor you!
I'm a huge Red Sox fan and love watching detective shows when I have free time.
I am a sophomore at Rice University majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in business and certificate in engineering leadership. My goal as a tutor is to be able to establish trust between my students and I by encouragement and motivation. If a student can leave a tutoring session having learned something and happy, my job is complete :D
I am best at STEM subjects and standardized test prep. However, Spanish is also a strong subject for me since I grew up speaking it. I don't only speak it, but also have a solid background in writing and reading since I was schooled in Mexico for many years.
I'm Logan. I'm a freelance writer and tutor. I love reading about all sorts of things, and I'm always trying to learn something new. I look forward to exploring ideas and solving problems with you!
Hello! My name is Connor, and I am a Bioengineering student at Rice University with a strong background in physics, mathematics, chemistry, and standardized test preparation. I scored a 1550 on the SAT and earned a 7 in IB Higher Level Physics. I enjoy helping students build a deep understanding of concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. Currently, I am a first-year medical student at Baylor College of Medicine who loves helping students reach their academic and professional goals. Although I love learning about a wide variety of different subjects, I'm most passionate about the sciences because understanding these ideas helps us learn all about how the world around us works! I hope to ignite this same passion for learning in all of my students because, as the saying goes, "If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life".
I am available weekdays, nights and weekends throughout the greater Austin area and online.
I am currently in a gap year applying to medical schools. I have been tutoring for almost 5 years since high school. I have taught a variety of ages from elementary school all the way to college age students with multiple subjects, but mostly math and science. My favorite subjects to tutor are physics and chemistry because I believe that after learning about some of these topics, it is super interesting to see how the theories and laws that you learn in class apply in the real world! I would describe my teaching style as primarily example based. I try and pull up real world applications and examples of questions that may come up in their testing and have students work to solve them. I am passionate about helping others not only get good grades, but also really learn and understand the materials. Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching and playing basketball, going to the gym, cooking, and listening to music.
I am an undergrad at the University of Chicago, having graduated high school at Jesuit Dallas. I am currently pursuing a major in Computer Science and a minor in Math. I am interested in teaching as a possible profession, so I am planning to attend graduate school in a few years and planning to get a TA job in upcoming quarters. I tutor Computer Science, Math, and Physics, for Middle and High School students, and maybe college students in intro classes. I am most passionate about teaching programming because I find it to be a very useful and engaging skill; a lot of my friends at UChicago come to me when they have trouble working with Python or R, so I also have the most teaching experience with this field as well.
I am a graduate of UC San Diego with a Bachelors in Neuroscience through the Psychology department. After graduating, I went to Michigan Technological University and did some graduate work, before moving to Texas to be closer to my parents. I did my alternative certification program through Texas Teachers and am highly qualified to teach Science for grades 7-12. I have been a teacher in public and charter schools for the last four years, and have tutoring experience extending over ten years behind me as well.
I'm a biomedical engineering student and undergraduate researcher at Texas A&M University working towards a Bachelor of Science degree. For as long as I can remember, I've always had a passion for learning. In high school, I challenged myself by taking as many AP exams as possible. Doing so not only shaped my love of education but also challenged me to become a self-taught learner. Using what I learned from AP exam preparation allowed me to become a National Merit Finalist, two-time National AP Scholar, and valedictorian of my graduating class of over 600 students. While my favorite subjects to tutor are high school-level and engineering calculus, I am happy to tutor in a range of subjects, including all-around ACT preparation, high school and college math, chemistry, physics, and world history. By tutoring, I hope to share my passion for learning while also providing students with the tools they need to succeed.
I'm Felipe. I am a 3rd year pre-med college student studying Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I first discovered my passion for teaching a few years ago when I began tutoring ACT and SAT for a tutoring company in my hometown of Frisco. Since then, I have gotten deeply involved with teaching. I have gotten to volunteer for non-profit college organizations at underserved Austin elementary schools to encourage kids to go into STEM, I have gotten to help teach for an introductory biomedical engineering laboratory class at UT, and I have been employed by UT's Engineering Student Services to tutor other students in organic chemistry for well over a year. In that time, I have found that I especially enjoy working with high school and college students. My journey as a student is far from over, so everything I teach is something that I have been right in the middle of learning recently. My favorite subject to tutor is organic chemistry. It is something I've been teaching for a long time, and it's a subject I've gotten to understand well. Other subjects I love to tutor include biology, chemistry, physics, and all math through calculus; my career path has required me to synthesize all these subjects rather well. ACT/SAT test prep is also something I enjoy teaching and is something I have experience with. I have started to offer MCAT tutoring, as it is one of the more rigorous exams I have had success with, and a skill I would love to pass on to other aspiring physicians.
I am an MIT alum and current graduate student at UT Austin. My degrees are in architecture, with undergraduate minors in Materials Science and Computer Science. I focus on building technology and I love applying physics, chemistry, and computer science to solve creative architectural design problems. Although I have studied architecture up to this point, I am currently pursuing a classroom teaching certificate and intend to teach high school STEM subjects professionally in the near future. I am passionate about helping students connect STEM concepts to real-world applications and have served as a Teaching Assistant for several college Physics courses.
I'm a born and raised Austinite and recently earned my Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University in May 2015. I mostly tutor high school/college math and science courses, as well as SAT/ACT and MCAT prep. My favorite classes to help students with are biology, physics, biochemistry and statistics! I took 14 AP classes in high school, and retook many of the math and sciences class in college. I think this helps with tutoring because I learned the material multiple times and from many great teachers, so if a student doesn't understand a concept at first, I can hopefully explain it in another way that I've learned.
I am a mechanical engineering student at UT Austin and I tutor a wide range of topics including general science, social studies, study skills and organization, and music though I am most passionate about teaching math subjects up to Calculus (AP/High school / College level), Physics (AP/High school/ College level), and Voice Lessons./Vocal Training. I am a firm believer in the power of education and learning and try to impart this to my students as well. Outside of school and work, I enjoy writing for the school fashion magazine, singing, and sketching.
I'm Atharva and I attend The University of Texas at Austin! I am currently majoring in computational engineering, which is essentially a mix of math, computer science, and aerospace engineering. I have worked as a math tutor for around 3 years, and I have seen students improve their scores significantly in their classes and standardized tests. I especially enjoy tutoring math since I strongly believe it can be very interesting if taught in an engaging way rather than straight out of a dull textbook. I believe I have this ability to make my tutoring sessions more interactive and productive, and I love being able to help students understand the intuition behind the concepts they learn in class instead of making them simply memorize them.
I am very passionate about education and I know in depth about how people learn and the different learning theories. I focus more on my student's learning than me teaching. I am very flexible, open minded, and patient. Let me know how I can help you.
I am a current undergraduate studying both neuroscience and history! I have a passion for teaching and my biggest goal for my students is to walk away feeling confident about the subject material covered in the session. I aim to create an environment that fosters trust and comfort so students are never afraid to ask questions or tell me that they're completely lost and need me to reexplain. I also make really nerdy puns and provide funny stories to help create connections with subject material and make for a fun session!
I have just graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering! I am very passionate about tutoring math and science courses such as physics and calculus, as well as mechanical engineering topics. I am able to travel to most of Philadelphia and its surrounding suburbs, and my schedule is flexible. I look forward to finding times that both of us can work together. Best regards, and may you achieve your educational goals.
I am currently a student at the University of Texas-Austin, and in the Honors Biomedical Engineering Program. Throughout high school and into college, I have tutored students of all ages; anywhere from my employment at a mathematics tutoring center to private lessons for students my age. Other parts of my life include playing sports (tennis, soccer, ping pong, basketball), jamming on the piano, and doing extracurriculars at school.
I am most passionate about math, but am comfortable working with students of all ages K-12 (and beyond!) in subjects including chemistry, physics, Spanish, writing, and more!
I am getting back to tutoring through the summer while I take a leave of absence to build my professional profile.
