I am an Applied Physics Major with an Emphasis in Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University. I love to share the joy I have in the sciences and math to show truly the applications are so far-reaching.

I'm here to help in your math and physics classes! As a rising senior in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Tennessee, I've been through nearly every math and physics course. I would like to use my past experience and education to help you excel in your STEM classes. Likewise, I feel that my approach to preparing for the STEM portion of the ACT will be helpful to college bound students. I have been the beneficiary of excellent instruction over my time as a student, and would enjoy teaching others. I am comfortable with any subject that I am certified to teach, and have a ton of resources to aid in your learning.

I'm an Iowa native who moved to Nashville for graduate school. My background is in the life sciences; I have a Masters from Vanderbilt in Chemical and Physical Biology, and my undergraduate degree is in Biochemistry. However, my education has been well rounded and I have interests in philosophy, literature, writing, and history. I have extensive research experience, and I hope to share my passion for science with students. I have experience mentoring undergraduate students during my graduate school education to help them gain research experience. I am a very patient teacher and have the ability to see problems from the students perspective; my tutoring style adapts to each student's individual needs, but centers on getting each student to come to their solutions rather than following any one formula for success. I have a lot of experience with standardized testing, and have taken multiple AP subject tests in addition to the ACT, SAT, and GRE examinations.

I am a Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology graduate and currently attend Vanderbilt University majoring in Computer Engineering with a minor in Business. I've tutored in various subjects for about 6 years now. I've done it so much, one of the companies I started was tutoring-based. In all, I am a technology-oriented entrepreneur, an impact-driven member of the community, and a striving academic. My passion for computer engineering and dedication to solving the world's problems push me to continue to be better tomorrow than I am today. I am Elsa! I am a Senior at Vanderbilt with aspirations to be a Pharmacist and Public Health official in the future in my home country of Ethiopia and other developing nations. I am a junior at Vanderbilt University studying Economics and Math, and I intend to get my PhD in Economics after graduating. Taking the GRE was the first step of my graduate admissions process, and I want to help others achieve similar success so that they can pursue their dreams. In addition, I enjoy tutoring economics and chemistry, as those are my favorite subjects. During my spare time, I like to play cello, read, and bake pies (especially peach pie).

As a senior physics major and pre-med student, I am passionate about understanding and teaching the principles behind physics and mathematics. I have been tutoring math and physics through Varsity Tutors for nearly three years, working with students across a range of levels. My goal is to help students not only solve difficult problems, but also develop a deeper understanding of the concepts behind them. I approach tutoring by first identifying where a student's understanding begins to break down. From there, I work with them to rebuild the concept step by step, connecting new ideas to what they already know. I want students to leave each session with greater confidence and the tools to approach future problems independently. Outside of academics, I enjoy climbing, crocheting, baking, and skating. I'm currently a PhD student in economics at Yale University. I also have a BS in physics and math from Yale. Other subjects I enjoy are history, geography, and philosophy, and I dabble in photography and baking. I enjoy helping people understand tricky concepts and solve challenging problems, academic and otherwise.

I'm a rising junior at Brown University studying biomedical engineering. I have lots of experience in middle school through college level instruction in STEM and SAT/ACT prep. My goal is to provide a fun and productive learning environment by only teaching subjects that I am passionate about.

I am currently a senior at Stony Brook University, and a physics and computer science double-major. I hail from the town of Clarence, New York, a suburb of Buffalo. I enjoy tutoring in part because of my affinity for the subjects that I'll be teaching, but the primary reason is that I like working with people and forming interpersonal connections.

I am a lifelong learner, teacher, and researcher in the field of physics. I received a PhD in Physics from the University of Michigan and a BS in Physics from Rice University. I have four years of physics teaching experience at the University of Michigan, primarily undergraduate laboratory courses with an emphasis on electromagnetism, circuits, waves, optics, and real-world applications of these and other physical phenomena. Many of these courses, including one I helped design, focused on helping non-STEM students master physics concepts that may be difficult to grasp in a standard classroom setting. I have tutored in a variety of subjects since high school, but most recently I have spent several years helping students understand concepts and succeed in coursework throughout a large variety of college-level physics topics, from basic mechanics to advanced electrodynamics and special relativity.

A chemical and biomolecular engineering degree means Steve spent years applying thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and electromagnetism to real systems — the same core principles that drive AP Physics 1 and 2. He's particularly sharp at teaching students how to connect free-body diagrams to Newton's laws and energy bar charts to conservation principles, building the kind of physical intuition the exam's qualitative questions demand. I'm a junior at Yale University pursuing a double major in Linguistics and Theater. I have experience tutoring in a variety of subjects, but I'm particularly excited to help students with writing, critical reading, and SAT or ACT preparation. I had a strong support network of teachers and mentors throughout middle and high school, so I understand firsthand the importance of thoughtful, individualized educational enrichment. I seek to meet each student where they are in order to help them reach their greatest potential! When I'm not tutoring, you might find me performing improv comedy, playing saxophone, or trying to write the next great American musical.

I am planning on entering medical school at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in the fall. Throughout high school and college, I have fallen in love with tutoring and seeing so many new faces in the process. I especially love to tutor in math, chemistry, MCAT, and chemical engineering topics, and have experience tutoring students of all ages - from elementary school to fellow college students. When I am not tutoring or in school, I am an avid lifter and love to bake with friends!

I am anticipating starting a master's program in the fall. When I'm not working I enjoy playing and watching basketball, reading and exercise. I love learning and I am eager to share my skills and knowledge with others.

I am a rising senior at Duke University. I major in Computer Science and am also getting a minor in Physics. I have had experience tutoring/teaching as a teaching assistant for three classes: Intro to Databases, Electricity and Magnetism (for engineers), and Computer Network Architecture. I have had industry experience in software development as an intern for IBM and a cybersecurity analyst for TIAA. Outside of school/work, I play the piano and train with the Duke Taekwondo Club. I have a strong background in computer science, physics, and math, but I love learning about and helping students with a wide variety of subjects!

I am currently a Harvard student majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Applied Mathematics. I graduated Class Valedictorian in high school and was named National Merit Finalist. I took 16 AP classes in high school, including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Computer Science A, AP Physics C : Mechanics and AP Physics 1, with a score of 5 in all of the tests. I scored a 1570/1600 in my SAT and 800 in the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test and 790 in the SAT Physics Subject Test.
