About Me

As an IT leader in independent schools and a father of four boys, I bring a real-world understanding of how students learn and what they need to succeed. With a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from UNC Charlotte and over fifteen years in education, I've worked with students from Pre-K through 12th grade, helping them build foundational skills and confidence across academic subjects. My background gives me a distinctive tutoring edge. My Theatre degree from Boston College taught me how to read an audience, adapt in the moment, and make complex ideas accessible and engaging. My project management training from NYU shapes how I help students break down overwhelming tasks into manageable steps and build executive function skills. And my work integrating AI and technology into education means I can help students not just understand content, but develop the learning strategies and digital literacy they'll need for long-term success. Whether I'm helping a student organize their approach to a challenging assignment, build confidence in public speaking, or develop better study habits, I focus on meeting each learner where they are. I tailor my methods to individual learning styles and use my experience as both an educator and a parent to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and asking questions. My goal isn't just to help students improve their gradesit's to help them become more confident, capable learners who know how to tackle challenges on their own.
