About Me
I am Anne Hall, and I am passionate about preparing students to be able to pursue whatever path they choose. I have a Doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, postdoctoral lab experience, and over 5 years high-school classroom experience (Biology, AP Biology, Chemistry, A&P, and sponsor of several International Science Fair winners), as well as 10 years' experience in geriatric and adult acute care nursing. I specialize in all applications of biology, focusing on nursing, chemistry, and pathophysiology. I support a learning environment where students can engage with challenging concepts and develop critical thinking skills. I provide immediate feedback, many questions that probe and direct thinking and review of essential and difficult ideas. I want students to succeed. In my spare time I explore new teaching methodologies, walk with my (seven!) dogs, read science fiction, and serve the hungry.
Hobbies & Interests
["I read science fiction (especially short stories) to explore the different ways that society can work. I am a regular contributor to iNaturalist. I volunteer with a group that feeds families forced to live on the street."]
