Anna

As a dedicated tutor and educator with over 2 years of experience, I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a minor in Education. My teaching philosophy centers on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and engage deeply with the material. My passion for education is driven by my desire to help students achieve their goals and discover their potential. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring nature and learning about different cultures, which enriches my approach to teaching and connecting with my students.

In addition to tutoring, I am a professional toxicological researcher currently doing work studying the genetics behind PFAS (forever chemicals, like Teflon) and neurological development. Additionally, I am a semi-professional bass guitarist with 4+ years of digital music content creation and music festival management. I have a strong dedication to environmental justice, and currently do volunteer work for two climate education organizations, including Earthday.org! In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, trying new recipes, and fiber arts (including sewing, crocheting, and embroidery).
