With a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University and over 24 years of experience in various educational settings, I have developed a deep understanding of the needs of preschool and kindergarten students. My journey began in Head Start, where I worked extensively with three and four-year-olds, and has evolved into my latest role as a district literacy specialist, focusing on improving literacy outcomes across 21 schools. I miss working with students and I am headed to the classroom next year. I have extensive training in phonics, ESL, and literacy coaching. My teaching philosophy centers on creating engaging, tailored lessons that ignite curiosity and build confidence in students. I believe that every child can achieve high levels of success, and I am dedicated to helping them reach their full potential. Witnessing the moment a child learns to read and the joy that follows is what drives my commitment to education.
