Additionally, I hold a TESOL/TESL/TEFL Certificate from Oxford Seminars. During my degree program at John Brown University, I worked at the writing center for two semesters, where I tutored students who required additional assistance with their academic writing. I enjoy helping students succeed in their classes, regardless of their field of study. In addition to this, I worked as a staff member for John Brown's literary journal called Shards of Light, where I decided with a group of other staff writers to reject or accept pieces of literature, such as poetry, creative nonfiction, and artwork, that students at John Brown University submitted to Shards of Light. Also, in one of my writing classes, I submitted several pieces of creative nonfiction writing to three academic journals. I also learned how to diagram sentences.

I enjoy exploring hiking trails and reading novels, especially those by my favorite author, Francine Rivers. Besides reading, I also write short stories and have self-published a book titled The Cursed Land. This story follows a girl who must save a king from an enchantment.
