I am a experienced analytical chemist having worked as a Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, Laboratory Analyst, and Laboratory Supervisor. My experience as a teaching assistant involved work in both a lab and classroom setting and as a supervisor I would aid the analyst in their understanding of various chemical reactions, techniques, instruments, and practices. My thesis was on Environmental Chemistry where I became very familiar with Spectroscopy and Chromatography techniques including IR, UV, HPLC, and GC. When working with students I try to determine where the disconnect on a subject is and from there try various angles in order to get them to grasp the concept.
