About Me

I am a graduate of Oklahoma State University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on early childhood. I received my Masters in Elementary Education with a focus on reading. I have taught for 43 years with experience in many grade levels. I have taught kindergarten for most of my career, but I also taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade and English for Speakers of Other Languages. I have tutored over the years in both small group settings and one on one. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about helping beginning readers. I am a firm proponent of education, believing that all children can learn, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students.
