About Me

Greetings! I am a mathematics educator who has a doctoral degree in Early Childhood Development and Education with a focus on Child Development. My background has helped me to understand students' knowledge and comprehension of mathematics and how their math anxiety and attitudes towards math affects their math performance. I have 15 years of combined early childhood and public-school educational experience. This includes 11 years teaching middle school math and I also have two years of experience within higher education as an adjunct faculty. I am currently a teacher and director for my own online school! I have taught 45-year-old children how to read (phonics) and learn the foundations of math (basic arithmetic and basic skills). I have experience in working with students of varying abilities and have helped them develop their math skills. I have also helped college students in developmental math pertaining to their pre-algebra and Algebra I skills and comprehension. I am certified in Texas. I truly enjoy helping people especially when it comes to learning. I work with students in traditional or homeschool environments and teach to what the student is supposed to learn and their learning needs.
