As a certified third grade teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools, I have over two years of experience in the classroom, specializing in elementary school math and reading. My educational background in Sociology from the University of Maryland, College Park, informs my approach to teaching, where I prioritize engaging and differentiated lessons that activate prior knowledge and foster curiosity. I am particularly motivated to help ELD students thrive, utilizing creative strategies like interactive videos and hands-on activities to make learning enjoyable and effective. I believe that when students feel connected and supported, they can truly shine, and I strive to create that environment every day.

In my spare time I enjoy knitting, crocheting and weaving. I also enjoy traveling and learning about new places.
