I have a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin; I have a Masters of Science in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. My passion is helping students find their voice in their essays, whether for class or for college applications. I am also very successful and helping students prepare for the English portion of standardized exams, particularly the ACCUPLACER/TSI, SAT, and the STAAR. In my experience, each student learns in their own unique way and needs to be supported in finding what works best for them. Each step of the way in their academic journey is another opportunity for them to learn more about what is important and strengthen their sense of purpose. Students may forget much of what they learn in high school but they remember how they were able to succeed in reaching their goals. I look forward to working with you!

I love reading. I think it is the absolute best way to expand our understanding of the world around us, increase our vocabulary, and build empathy, as we stand in other people's shoes when reading their stories. In my spare time, I love to take long walks with my dog, Levi. He is a goofball and makes me laugh everyday. I love learning from my students and hearing about their interests as well.
