I have been teaching for 30 years. I have worked in special education for all 30 years and have extensively worked one on one or in a small group. My areas of focus are reading, math, and writing. I have done extensive research in all three areas to best meet my students need. I am constantly reflecting to improve my skills. I firmly believe that in order to teach the individual, we need to know the individual. My instruction is very specialized to the student's learning style. Flexibility and the ability to alter instruction on the fly is one of my strongest traits. In my spare time, I enjoy reading for fun, watching the Cyclones, my dogs and spending time with my friends and children.
