About Me

I received a BA in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona. (Go Wildcats!) I decided to further my education and obtained a Masters in Elementary Education with a Reading Endorsement embedded. I have been a teacher for 17 years. I have also tutored (both online and in person) for the last 10 years. After teaching in the classroom I made the decision to become a Reading Interventionist/Coach. In this role, I thoroughly enjoyed helping students overcome their reading difficulties and observe those, "light bulb moments" that ensued. Nothing is more rewarding! I have since switched job roles and now work with English Learners and am able to utilize many of the same intervention strategies I used as a Reading Specialist. I love making connections with students more than anything! Without the connection piece, it is nearly impossible to move forward with content. I look forward to working with your student and assisting them in their educational journey!
